We are excited to announce the MCIRN Educator Advanced: PRIME NP Faculty Program, an interactive, online training designed for faculty of Nurse Practitioner students. This program will introduce the PRIME NP model for NP education. It will present to faculty simulation learning and assessment within the PRIME NP model. We will also discuss OSCE implementation including how to review the cases and incorporate the PRIME NP rubrics into your observation and assessment of clinical performance.
By the end of the program, trainees will be able to:
- Apply clinical competency-based strategies to address challenges in evaluating nurse practitioner students.
- Demonstrate advanced communication and leadership skills when using the Professional-Reporter-Interpreter-Manager-Educator/Evaluator Nurse Practitioner (PRIME NP) tool, applying principles drawn from real-world and scenario-based challenges.
- Integrate the PRIME NP clinical competency model into Objective Structured Clinical Examinations (OSCEs) and other clinical evaluation tools.
